Late April isn't typically regarded as a hot-bed of sports developments but this week proved to be a veritable treasure trove!

As they continue their record-setting season the Force swept Tri-City and put themselves up 1-0 in the best-of-five conference final against Sioux City.

Even if hockey isn't your thing, this team is worth seeing!

NDSU also had a flood of news, maybe chief of all as Amy (Anderson) Olson announced her retirement from the LPGA. It's certainly a loss but given the perspective of time it will very interesting to see what is gained from the decision!

Dave Richman didn't have to wait any longer for a beneficial choice as former Sheyenne & Northern State standout Jacksen Moni committed for his final season of eligibility.

While that all lies ahead, the pro basketball team is still in the moment and chasing their first of many postseason series wins against Phoenix. With Naz Reid being named Sixth Man of the Year for the first time in the franchises history just this week they may also reach those uncharted waters sooner than never!

On a different note, Davies had a pair of coaches step down this week. On the heels of the first championship and her younger daughter being done with the prep level Tonah Sofranski decided to return to the stands. They will also be replacing 13-year wrestling head coach Keenan Spiess.
