Sunday Roundup

The Football team had another good showing, but check the latest Pick 6 for more about them!

The Golf team took home a team title in their latest tournament.

The lady Bison soccer team has yet to get into the win or tie columns on the season and was routed by Colorado State

The Volleyball team got a pair of victories over App State first and then George Washington

Things have been relatively quiet on the Purple front but 24 hours from now everything will go from quiet into a frenzy of news. Let's hope our best players can show up better then many of the best players did around the league today!

The Red birds lost at the wire. Considering how enigmatic they were and with the removal of big Doug, it wasn't a failed season. The organization didn't waste much time in removing the interim tag from Michael Schlact. Time will tell whether it works out better for them then it has so many other times in major professional athletics.

They who deserve credit for getting the most significant sports victory in the region over the weekend when Wisconsin-Whitewater rolled into town. 25 - 17 is the headline but the bi-line ought to be that they lead from start to finish. I don't want to grand stand or over hypothesize but it's the kind of victory that should put Concordia on the division 3 map nationally. WW is just that good and has built that much merit! Well done Corn heads!

Not sure there's anything I have to say about the ball club that hasn't already been said repeatedly by countless beat reports and columnists but they're continuing to stay relevant so until that changes got keep including them and rooting for them. Playoff odds grow by the day and even with Football in full swing, people should still tune in and better yet, show up. That's coming from a guy who has no qualms about calling for boycotts of the same club!
