In a day & age where AAU tournaments & daily practices are the norm, it may be overblowing it to say that the result earlier this evening at Moorhead high is entirely due to the fact that South was on the back-end of a back-to-back. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe that the 32 points/game scoring-duo of Kameron Arechigo & Khamani Steckler were held to only eight points purely due to defense & shortened minutes. I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle.
But what is certain is that Moorhead was ready from the opening tip. Their repeated multi-score runs during the opening 18 minutes pushed them to a 56-25 lead at the break.
The 8-2 run that the Spuds started the second half with expedited the exit of South's core players, leaving the rest of the time to the reserves and the players who will be around for years to come.

A 46-point difference is about as decisive as it gets, but I'm still skeptical that it reflects the actually difference between the two teams.
In any case, here are how the numbers break down.
Sibomana Enock was the high-scorer for South with 12.
His soon-to-be rival on the football field, Trey Feeney, finished with seven points, all in the first half. Sophomore big-man Adam Jenkins lead all scorers with 16. The Walthall twins were just behind with 14 each, also all in the first half. Belind Alemadi rounded-out the top scorers with 11.
