With only five picks to work with in the roster reformation Adofo-Mensah has quite a boulder to try and roll. The lower value of the 23rd pick diminishes the opportunity to trade down while simultaneously getting high value in return and maintaining a presence in the first round for the fifth-year-option. The best chance to stay above this year's 32nd would be to bamboozle another GM the way he was bamboozled during Thursday & Friday last year, that's not a given though. It also makes trying to project selections more of a pickle than usual, which is also adds intrigue.

This run nearly began with no good trade options at 23 but then one was crafted that could pay-off well in the long run. It came from "Cleveland" and landed the Purple the 74th, 98th, 190th this year as well as a second & third next April. It would go over like a lead balloon at the watch party but the quantity in return for the potential quality made it a satisfactory transaction. With his background working the stock market there is a fair chance that KA-M sees it the same way.
But for any deal to be good requires the players to come through, so the "best" players available will be the choices this time with the only exceptions being another trade to aid the team more in the long run or the position being completely unnecessary.

Six picks all going to the defense isn't likely but with as porous as they proved to be last year it is warranted. With the seventh and final pick of this simulation comes a red-zone threat that wouldn't be the field-stretcher which many have called for but could be a contributor - Jadon Haselwood, Oklahoma.
To finish Saturday with those additions plus two more quality options for the regime's third draft would take the sting out of the extra-long wait to get started.
