Shortly after it was announced that Fargo & West Fargo will be increasing attendance limits, the governing body had more news for high school competition.
The first bit of it related to the state meet for boys swimming and diving. They approved it to be held on Saturday, March 6 in Bismarck & Mandan.
The next portion was related to the basketball tournaments.
For the Class A regionals, the first two rounds will played at the higher seeds gym as opposed to all at one site in most other years. The final day of games will take play at the Bismarck Event Center for the West and the SHAC for the East.
After that, the qualifiers will head to the BEC for the boys opener on March 11 and the girls on March 12. All semifinals will be played on the 13th with the championships to follow on Sunday the 14th, beginning at 1 pm.
As for Class B, the region 1 location is still undetermined for the girls but the dates will be Feb 22nd, 23rd & 25th. The boys are set to play at the SHAC on the 8th, 9th & 11th of March. The region 2 tournaments are each slated to take place at the Betty in Grand Forks on the same days.
