February Wave

While a considerable number of the new recruits to make it official did so for in Mid-December; NDSU, Moorhead State and Concordia all added new players today.

Moorhead State's additions total 29, from the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and one from Las Vegas. Five of those come from the F/M/WF.

Carter Birrenkott (WF) & Ethan Entze (Davies) will join the offense. They're currently both being classified as receivers but Entze may get some time as a rusher in certain packages. That's speculation on my part but can't be ruled out.

The other three will join Moorhead's defense. Jacob Brosius (North) is one of six linebackers to sign today while Abe Hestdalen (Sheyenne) & Thomas Myers (Moorhead) will join the defensive front. A couple other additions to the defense will come from Breckenridge as Gavin Johnson (DL) & Connor Twidwell (LB) will be in the mix next Fall. The other who will be coming in from not too far away is Kolby Vander Wal from Northern Cass. He excelled in a do-it-all role this past season but will join the Northern Sun as a hybrid LB/CB.

As for the Cornies, they have yet to announce the full class of new additions. However, there are a few that are known.

Moorhead's Keanan Wendt & Max Soeth will be putting on the Maroon. From just across the river, quarterback Peyton Kessel (South) will be competing for Terry Horan.

NDSU also got a couple of late additions. From the class A champions Langdon/Edmore/Munich, Grant Romfo signed after just announcing on Monday that he would be separating from his twin brother and playing at NDSU. A few years from now there is a chance they'll meet on the field with Simon opting to play in Grand Forks.

The other addition to the recruiting class will come from El Paso. While Romfo isn't yet defined to play one position, 6'4 Chris Harris will be added to the mix of options at receiver for whoever takes over for Zeb Noland.

There were many more local standouts to make their college destinations official today (and some who have yet to decide where they will be) but for those you'll have to follow the thread!
