A game that was a bit of a yawner early still gets the Pick Six treatment, so check it out!
Bison
The women's Golf team took to the course for their last outing of the Fall season and left the course with a 12th place team finish. Camryn Roadley was the top individual finisher at 19th overall.
Soccer also concluded their home schedule with a pair of matches this weekend. First came a one goal, overtime win over Oral Roberts on Friday. Malley O'Brien netted the score for the Bison, then came an 0-1 loss to Omaha to close out the slate.
Volleyball also played Friday and Sunday. First in Denver then in Omaha but with a combined 1 - 6 over the two, NDSU didn't give itself a chance in either contest.
The men's Golf team also started their last outing of the Fall in North Carolina today. With only day 1 results available I'll get to it next Sunday.

Dragons
MSUM squeezed all their sports into Friday and Saturday this week. Volleyball started it off for Moorhead State with a trip to SW MN St. that went the way of the home team with little resistance. They followed that up with a trip to Sioux Falls but fell 0 - 3 again.
The Swim team managed to defeat Northern State by 99 points on Friday. See the full info release for more on the aquathletes.
Soccer also had a two game weekend on the road. First at Concordia-St. Paul, then at Mankato. The former ended in a 1-0 loss by the Dragons while the latter was a 3 - 0 victory by Mankato.
The Football team had a chance to ensure a .500 or better record against a middling Sioux Falls team but the Dragons showed many of things that gave me pause in my pre-season evaluation. With two of their final three games at home it seems likely that they'll get at least one more win but only if they can return to their early season form!
Which leaves the best for last - the Cross Country teams. Paced by Josh Young and Nadir Yusuf the Dragons had the top two finishers from the men's side of the running. In conjunction with the other five runners from Moorhead State they finished atop the leaderboard. The women weren't too far behind on their side with a third place team finish and a tenth place finish by Marissa Carlson to pace the way.
Cobbers
They of the Corn Cob served up their sports week with a Volleyball showdown against UM-Morris. They kept it close but fell one short before returning to the court on Friday at Gustavus Adolphus. That one didn't even go as well as a narrow loss but they rebounded on Saturday for another close one against St. Olaf, but still came up on the short end of the scoreboard.
Wednesday brought the second team to the field as the women's Soccer team took on St. Thomas. The Cobbers managed to net a goal but they gave up two before and two after their own score. They followed that up with a second match, against Augsburg and were dropped 3 - 0.
The men's Soccer team got the athletics department off the schneid with a four goal win over Northwestern. Each of the four came in the final 30 minutes of play. First one by Aronah Mukhtar then Sam Gess and two by Nate Weaver to finish it up. They tried to run that momentum into another contest against Augsburg but were dropped 4 - 1 after scoring the first goal of the match.
Which left the Football team in a visit to Bethel. The Royals suffocated Concordia on offense while having their way with the Cobbs defense. It was a 41 - 13 beating that wasn't even that close. Which caps off a rough week with only one bright spot but it's a new week, full of new opportunities for they & all of the other teams to turn it around and go into November with momentum!
Timberwolves
Last year's pattern has already shown itself this season. They beat what I consider to be a good Cavs team on Friday night then came back to allow 140 points and lose to one of the worst teams in the Western Conference, the Mavs. The best of the win was how earnest Towns was at playing defense. Four very smart blocks are hopefully a sign of things to come from super max for the Howl!
High School Sports
The high school Football regular season in North Dakota came to a close this week. Sheyenne put a shellacking on the South Bruins to claim the EDC title while Fargo North complete their first playoff appearance season since 2010 with a win over Grand Forks Central. The 9 man playoffs have already started but for the rest of the levels it will get going next weekend and should be a good time!
