The Vikings have closed out their 52 year run in southwest Minnesota. Hopefully they'll debut a plan to do more extensive outstate tour type stuff starting after the 2017/18 but that's for another day. For today, it's a look back at the day I spent in Mankato - in photos.
There is one observation above all that struck me right between the eyes. Dalvin Cook is going to be "elite." I put that in quotations because it's a buzz word that could mean many different things, all pertaining to producing as a running back. The fact that the Packers had a golden opportunity to take the future fantasy football gem but didn't. Their loss is our gain AND I LOVE IT!!!
I've learned year after year to be dubious of preseason and training camp hype but after seeing him with my own eyes, I'm sold. For the sake of the conversation, there was a former training camp that I attended where I saw Antoine Winfield going out of his way to help Chris Cook develop which I thought may lead to big things for that guy. That never came so it's not like I'm batting 1000 on training camp predictions but hopefully the young Seminole will come through closer to how good he seemed!
